King Neighborhood Association
November 8, 2006
6:00 PM – Meeting was called to order by Jennifer. Minutes were reviewed and a correction noted on the amount of the KNA grant. Motion to approve minutes, motion approved.
6:10 PM – Grant writing deadline was noted as 12/1. To date, 12 grants have been submitted by various organizations. KNA has submitted a grant application to fund sandwich boards. These boards would be used as public notice of upcoming KNA meetings and events. Erik Emerick suggested that the board look into permit requirements for public post of sandwich boards.
6:12 PM – Introductions were made around the room and a sign in sheet circulated. See attached.
6:15 PM – Jeana Wooley and Ray Leary gave a presentation of the South Block project design and heard public comments and concerns. This project is slated to start summer 2007. Ray and Jeana announced a joint venture with Dorn Platz a California developer and the commitment of 24 Hour Fitness as anchor tenant.
Following are some of the concerns raised:
Ray and Jeana let the group know that the project hours for the current Vanport construction are 7:00 am to 6 pm. Work outside these hours will require that additional permission be obtained.
