Bikes and Culture

I stumbled on this link to an interesting article on the resurgence of the bicycle, bike culture and how it intersects with race. We live in a very diverse neighborhood in a city that tirelessly touts itself as the bicycle paradise. It would be great to see this environmental, economical, healthy, adaptable transportation form embraced in continually more creative ways.

  1. Good article. We are a car-free family with a young (under 2) child and enjoy the freedom, exercise, and cost-savings not having to drive affords us. I am more than happy to talk with any other families about the practicalities of biking as a primary mode of transportation.

  2. A heartfelt story, everything seems to be a win win situation and a great outlet for our youth. These kids are our leaders of tomorrow and having a goal of doing the “right” things is a lesson for all ages!
