Living Wage Jobs Town Hall

Senator Chip ShieldsSenator Chip Shields announces Daimler Trucks North America, UPS and Legacy Health Systems to join living wage jobs town hall this Friday, March 9.

He will join a growing list of businesses participating including Oregon Iron Works, New Seasons Market, Gunderson, SoloPower, Widmer Brothers and American Red Cross

State Senator Chip Shields (D-N/NE Portland) announced today that human resource recruiters from Daimler Trucks North America, UPS and Legacy Health Systems will join human resource recruiters from Oregon Iron Works, New Seasons Market, Gunderson and Vigor Industrial at the Friday, March 9th living wage jobs town hall. This event will be hosted by Sen. Shields and State Representatives Lew Frederick (HD 43, NE Portland) and Tina Kotek (HD 44, N/NE Portland).

“Oregon, like the rest of the country, is hurting, and unemployment is way too high. But there are companies in North and Northeast Portland who are hiring despite it all, and we are excited to be bringing a number of them to our next living wage jobs town hall to meet North and Northeast Portlanders looking for work,” said Shields.
