Handmade NW Formal Holiday Artisans Fair 2010

An elegant holiday shopping experience with local handcrafted wares in a stunning 1920’s historic ballroom! Over 60 local artisans! Live classical music, 100 free goodie bags, gift wrapping table and more!

Handmade NW aims to support an economy of crafters and artisans who have committed to bringing quality handmade goods to our community. We believe that the recipient of a handmade gift receives something that is one-of-a-kind, and made with care and attention that can be seen and touched—quality that is the result of skill and craftsmanship unachievable through large-scale manufacturing. Handmade NW encourages all to support the local economy, and buy local handmade gifts this holiday.

This year Handmade NW and its artisans will be “adopting” a family through Family Assistance Foundation (www.familyassistancefoundation.com/) .

When:
Date(s): Sunday, December 19th, 2010
Time(s): 11am – 5pm

KNA Board to Hold Special Session

This month’s regular meeting of the King Neighborhood Association dealt with a full agenda of big issues related to the safety and livability of our community. Packed with high-profile guests, the discussion ran long past the scheduled meeting time. As a result, a discussion of KNA’s application to PSU to help facilitate a youth mural project next summer was not held. The deadline for application is prior to the December meeting. The application will be discussed and finalized at this meeting so it can be submitted by December 6th. This special meeting will be held November 24th at Fuel Cafe, 1452 Northeast Alberta Street, at 5:30 pm. Anyone is welcome but only board members can vote.
