Alberta Abbey open house, May 22nd.
The Abbey…
This historical church was originally built in 1924, the church at 126 NE Alberta Ave (in King Neighborhood) has been known by various names, most recently Mallory Avenue Baptist Church.
In June of 2012, the building was acquired by Alberta Abbey Fellowship (AAF). AAF’s mission is to restore and revitalize this building, offering it up to the community for mixed use, and it is now known as the Alberta Abbey.
Join the Abbey for an open house and party on Thursday, May 22nd!
PDC public meeting on Vanport lot, & affordable housing allocations, May 27th.
Please join Patrick Quinton, Executive Director, Portland Development Commission; Traci Manning, Director, Portland Housing Bureau; and Andrew Colas, President, Colas Construction for an update on processes to move forward development of the vacant PDC-owned site at the corner of NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and NE Alberta Street and the $20 million housing allocation for the Interstate Corridor Urban Renewal Area (ICURA).
Now that we know Trader Joe’s will not be coming to the MLK commercial site, what happens next? Majestic Realty Co. with Colas Construction as primary contractor has an opportunity to bring another anchor tenant to the site. Come and learn more about this process.
The Portland Housing Bureau will provide a brief update on the upcoming community process for developing recommendations for $20 million in housing investments.
