Northeast Portland’s Martin Luther King Jr. School PreK-8 will hold its third annual auction on May 31st at 6:00 pm.  Tickets are on sale now at kingpta.org/tickets and are $35 each.  Don’t wait as we expect to sell out again this year.  This years theme is Masquerade. Cocktail attire and a mask are highly encouraged. If you don’t have a mask, don’t worry – you might be able to pick up an original mast created by one of King’s students.

This year we will have food by Tastbud, 3 drink tickets, a dance performance by King’s own Derrell Sekou Walker and we will unveil the new school mascot – drawn up by one of our very own students!

PTA funds have helped support the kids and teachers in so many ways! Some of the money raised from last year’s auction helped support the Mother’s Day event put on by the Latino parent group, King’s track team, a play structure for Pre-K, library software, the learning garden in the courtyard and the chess club.
