Summer in September Jambalaya to benefit MLK Meals on Wheels, September 12th.

Meals on Wheels People Martin Luther King, Jr. Center will host the 10th annual Summer in September Jambalaya Festival & BBQ Saturday, Sept. 12, from noon to 6 p.m. at Dawson Park. Live musical entertainment will feature Randy Starr & The Players as well as BlowFrogz and Rasheed Jamal. Dignity Memorial has donated two children’s bikes that will be given away in a drawing between 4 and 6 p.m.

KNA Informal Meeting — Tuesday September 1st

KNA’s Board has gone through some changes and we’re meeting to informally discuss where we are headed and how best to get there.

This will be primarily for current board members, but please join us if you’ve got ideas.  This is about how KNA can be a more efficient and responsive organization.

We’ll be discussing our goals as a neighborhood association, bylaws and getting to know each other.  No changes or binding decisions will be made, just neighbors talking about the neighborhood.
