The YEI mission is to promote self-sufficiency and life-long learning by nurturing personal, educational and career development of young people.

The Youth Employment Institute (YEI) was founded on the belief that youth have the ability to overcome barriers that stand in the way to successful employment. YEI is committed to expanding opportunities for youth by providing employment, education and training programs to high risk youth in Portland.
